The Casa Mayor (Big House) was a group of a select group of warriors and hunters from the Ona (Selk’nam) tribe that lived in Tierra del Fuego in the Chilean Patagonia. To become members of the Big House, young men had to undergo an initiation ceremony called the
hain, where they had to prove their courage, bravery, hunting and fighting skills, as well as their mastery of fire.
Our Casa Mayor wines are made from a selection of the best grapes from the Colchagua Valley in tribute to these incredible Men of Fire.
